Guadalhorce Club de Golf

This course is situated in the heart of the Costa del Sol, close to Malaga airport.

The Guadalhorce course is a par 72 with two distinct parts: the first nine holes are typical English ‘parkland’ with unsophisticated vegetation, extending over gentle hills and watercourses, while the second nine holes have more diversified fairways and water areas that influence five holes. Undoubtedly the greatest difficulty of this course lies in its greens, which are fast and difficult to execute. The wind, usually a factor on the course.

The Real Guadalhorce Club de Golf course inaugurated in 1989, designed by Kosti Kuronen and redesigned by Miguel Ángel Jiménez in 2007.

The Real Guadalhorce Club de Golf course was built on the grounds of the Cortijo Colmenares, a former residence of the Marquises of Larios and was built in the 18th century. In this way the present club has a special clubhouse, an authentic historic Andalusian farmhouse that has even preserved a small chapel.

Practice facilities include a driving range, while golf lessons are available. At times the clubhouse is restricted to members only as swimming pools, tennis, other sports and saunas are also provided.

Real Guadalhorce Club de Golf course will host for the first time in its history a top-level women's tournament; Andalucía Costa del Sol Open de España 2024 presented by Oysho, a tournament that, since 2020, closes Ladies European Tour season.
