Suzann Pettersen and New 1st Hole at Finca Cortesin for the 2023 Solheim Cup

Finca Cortesín in Casares is the course that will host the next Solheim Cup from 22-24 September 2023, has unveiled a brand-new first hole: a drivable par four where players will face the challenge of reaching the green with their tee shot while a bustling grandstand full of spectators creates a unique atmosphere.

On Wednesday 20th September 2022 alongside Alan Solheim, Suzann Pettersen unvieled the One year to Go countdown clock on the driving range at Finca Cortesin before giving an exhibition of her skills on the new first hole. Hapily she reached the green, more than can be said for some of the other golfers who reached the lake. More>

Aramco Team Series Golf - Ladies European Tour event

World number three Nelly Korda played an excellent final round of 67 (-5) to win the Individual title at the Aramco Team Series in La Reserva Sotogrande by three shots. The champion began the final day seven shots behind the overnight leader, her sister Jessica Korda, and dropped a shot on the second hole.

Incredibly the Olympic champion soon found her feet rolling in three birdies on holes seven through nine and again on holes 12 through 14, and again on 16.   Despite making a bogey at the last, Korda sealed victory with a total score of 13-under-par at La Reserva Club de Sotogrande.

Three players finished in a share of second place with Jessica Korda, France’s Pauline Roussin and Spain’s Ana Peláez Trivino all on 10-under-par.

France’s Emma Grechi and Slovenia’s Pia Babnik finished in a tie for fifth at the end of day three on nine-under-par with USA’s Alison Lee, Dutch star Anne Van Dam, Belgium’s Manon De Roey and Sweden’s Linn Grant one shot further back.

Villa Padierna, will host the Andalucía Costa del Sol Open de España 2022

Alferini Golf, at Los Flamingos resort will open its doors at the end of November to the Andalucía Costa del Sol Open de España, which will close the season of the Ladies European Tour and will crown for the third consecutive year not only the champion of the tournament but also the winner of the Race to Costa del Sol, the order of merit of the European Tour.

In 2021 the tournament was won by Carlota Ciganda, achieving the only tournament she had yet to win in Spain, and the order of merit went to Thailand's Atthaya Thitikul.
