Speed Limits in Spain

Lookout for specific speed limits. These will be signed but if you are driving across country you may forget the specific limit applies. Tunnels and underpass even on motorways will be limited to 80 or 100 km/h. Sharp bends will be signed, cross country roads passing through villages will be 50km/hr or road intersections 80km/hr.

Nerja

Nerja is a picturesque coastal resort town some 50 kilometres east of Málaga city conected by the A-7 coastal highway. It marks the eastern limit of Málaga provine's Costa del Sol. Once a sleepy fishing village, the town now has a resident population of over 25,000.

Gonzalez Byass

Their most famous sherry, Tio Pepe (you´ll recognise the logo, a bottle with a red hat and jacket, and a guitar), gives its name to these bodegas. The company dates from 1835, which makes it one of the newer of the great sherry dynasties in Jerez.

Hotels in Sierra Nevada park

Hotel and Hostel accomodation is found in villages located around the edge of the park. The most popular are those on the southern boundary, in the popular Alpujarras (Granada Province) such as Capileira, Bubion, Pampaneira, Trevéles, less visited Bérchules, Yegen, Valor, Laroles and less visited in the Almeria Alpujarras.

Punta Plata - Estepona districts

Punta Plata is the first district in the Estepona Eastern Districts. It starts east of the Arroyo de la Cala (Cala Stream), which runs just right of the Colegio San José (St Joseph’s College) along the coast until the Rio del Padrón (Padrón River) which froms the easter boundary of the district.

One Star Hotels in Malaga city

  There are half a dozen one-star hotels in Malaga, most located outside the city centre and in the outer lying districts of Malaga city. We also list two star hotels. There are also budget hotels to be found in Churriana and in Torremolinos.The latter is connected to malaga city centre bu the C1 Local train. 

Things to See in Puerto Banus

Puerto Banús marina is without doubt the main sight of this town. With space for over 900 boats, this is where the rich and famous, including the King of Saudi Arabia, moor their impressive yachts. Many of these boats don't leave the marina and are simply used as 'holiday homes'. Along the marina you will also see plenty of luxury sports cars being driven, or simply paraded, by their owners alongside the numerous designer boutiques.

English Cemetery in Malaga

The English Cemetery lies on a hillside very near the historic centre of Malaga. More than 1000 people are buried within its 8,000 square metres; the majority, including its founder, are British but there are also Spanish and Americans, Danes and Swedes among other nationalities.

Laguna del Chinche Natural Reserve

Situated just to the north of the Laguna Honda Natural Reserve is this small lake, the 6.5ha Laguna del Chinche, surrounded by olive groves, with an additional 39ha of protected area around the lake. Like Laguna Grande Natural Area and Laguna Honda, it is under protection because of the relative scarcity of wetland areas in Jaen province.

Cable Car Benalmadena

The Telecabina takes you on an amazing 15-minute journey in a four-person cable car right up to the highest point on the Málaga coast at an altitude of almost 800m above sea level. From this superb vantage point, you not only have the most magnificent views of the Costa del Sol, but also the awesome panoramic vistas of the Sierra Nevada mountains (white with snow in the winter months), the Guadalhorce Valley and on a clear day you can see Gibraltar and the coast of Africa.

La Pequeña Africa

Little Africa Animal Reserve (Reserva Animal La Pequeña Africa) is a zoo located in the neighbourhood of Los Ángeles, next to the village of Jimena de la Frontera. It was created to help conserve part of the region’s (and even the country’s) natural heritage.
