Museo de la Miel

Museo de la Miel

The Honey Museum is an interpretation centre dedicated to the conservation of biodiversity through beekeeping. Its aim is to create an open-to-the-public space for disseminating the history of beekeeping, bee biology, and hive products. The museum exhibits apiaries, some of which date back to Arab times, as well as a 17^(th)-century wax press from Zamora. This press is made of oak and chestnut and weighs 16,000 kg. It is the only museum in Spain with these characteristics. It is located off Avenida de Madrid.
