An interesting course for all levels of play, with four par-3, ten par-4 and four  par-5 holes. There are magnificent, artificial water features, especially at the 6th and 7th where players have to negotiate a lake on each hole. In contrast the 9th, with no water hazards, provides a different challenge as it winds through abundant pine trees scattered across the fairway. But the highlight of everyone’s game will be the dramatic 6th hole with its green situated right on the beach.

This modern course was designed by champion golfer Manuel Pinero, and is situated slightly inland between the Costa de la Luz coast and the Atlantic. It is close to the village of Chiclana and the Sancti Petri port complete with sailing boats. The greens and fairways are wide, and gently undulating. However, testing conditions are supplied from the water and sand hazards. The course is set among tropical gardens, numerous cork trees and fragrant pine forests.

Good holiday course in a valley surrounded by hills and an abundance of vegetation. The fast greens and palm tree-lined fairways were designed by Gary Player in 1974.

A pleasure for the most demanding golfer, Atalaya Rosner Golf Course also called Atalaya New Golf Course requires accuracy off the tee and a steady putter on the green.

While the experts might find the challenge a little limited, the average club golfer will certainly find it quite enough to handle as the greens are sharply contoured and quick. Pleasant, flat parkland course with many bunkers, wide fairways and elevated greens.

In contrast with larger, more manicured courses, the natural appearance is maintained with wild flora and fauna still much in evidence just off the fairways. The signature hole is the third, a very long par-5 known as "The Ski Slope", though the difficulties lie more in club selection when assessing ground relief. Greens are of good quality, well-designed and interesting to play.

If you are invited to play this strictly private, 18-hole course, the second at La Zagaleta, accept immediately. Nestling in the mountains of the Serranía de Ronda and blending in perfectly with the natural environment, it was created by moving two million cubic metres of rock and earth and constructing a tunnel to reach the new clubhouse.

Nestling in the hills above Benahavis, La Zagaleta is an exclusive paradise and golfing playground. Set in 1,000 hectares of nature reserve, the complex has been developed with a heliport, equine centre and palatial clubhouse. The course was designed by Californian Bradford Benz, and the club remains strictly private for members and their guests.

Los Arqueros Golf is an exciting course winding through two valleys that offer impressive views down to the coast. The challenging par 71 golf course was designed by Seve Ballesteros and opened in 1991. The golf the course appeals to attacking players prepared to make bold shots. It is not a particularly long course, but sometimes tight with hazards constantly in play, which may lead to the unaccustomed player being overcautious.

Golf Courses in Huelva & Sevilla include Club de Golf Bellavista and Club de Golf Corta Atalaya in inland Huelva. Isla Canela, Islantilla and Golf El Rompido are on the Costa de la Luz. Real Club de Golf Sevilla and Zaudin Golf are located outside Seville city.

The Costa del Sol of Malaga province has by far the highest number of Golf Courses in any province in Spain. This is why is known as the Costa del Golf.

The Alcaidesa Golf Course is La Hacienda Links Golf Resort - Links Course. A second course called La Hacienda Links Golf Resort - Heathland Course.

To complement the original links course, Heathland is another spectacular option for players at Alcaidesa. Designed by Dave Thomas and opened in 2007, it has wide open fairways and is reasonably flat all the way round, apart from the 11th which is laid out over differing levels.

This is one of Costa del Sol's most popular courses. It is a links type course located on the coast with stunning views including the Rock of Gibraltar and even Morocco’s Rif Mountains on a clear day.
