Virgen del Carmen in La Caleta de Velez
In Caleta de Vélez, the Cofradía de Pescadores (Fishermen's Guild) organises two days of festivities. The main procession begins at around 21.00 and this leads the Virgen del Carmen down to the beach to 9 p.m. The procession starts at around 9 p.m.
An hour earlier at 20.00 hrs processions departs from Benajarafe, Torre del Mar (from the chapel of Las Melosas) and Almayate. These are smaller processions to follow a route around their respective villages.
