La Caleta de Velez - Marina
(Puerto Deportivo la Caleta de Velez)
La Caleta de Velez Marina is a médium size marina with capacity of 274 berths for vessels of 25 meters length and a maximum draft of 3.8 meters. All the berths have water and electricity points. The Puerto Deportivo de Caleta de Velez has a travel lift for boats up to 150 tonne to the hard standing area with full workshop and cleaning facilities.

La Caleta de Vélez
As a place, La Caletas de Velez is a district of Velez-Malaga and sits between Torre del Mar, to the west, and Algarrobo Costa, to the east. It sits on the coast, stradles the old N-340 coast road and is best known for the fishing port which is the most important in Malaga province. Half of the port is now dedicated to be a leisure Marina and this area includes bars and restaurants.
Housing complex such as: Baviera Golf, Rivera de Trayamar, Caleta del Sol, Puerto Caleta, and Villas del Mediterráneo have been constructed in the neighbourhood. Formerly there were neighborhoods such as: Barrio de Levante, La Porra, Barrio de Poniente, Las Casillas, Los Montosas and Trayamar or Ceregumil.

Baviera Golf Club is located in La Caleta de Velez about 1km from the coast in an area known as Pina Bajo.
La Caleta de Velez Beaches
Playa La Caleta de Velez also called Playa Rio Seco section is a popular urban beach that is 700m long and 60m wide urban beach located to the west of the La Caleta port and runs into the Torre del Mar beach. It is most popular at the east end near port breakwater.
