The bus actually leaves from the 'Rotuda Ford', which is the roundabout under the A-7 motorway / Fuengirola bypass on the Avenida de Mijas. It begins the route on the A-7 in the direction of Málaga and turns down Avenida Alcalde Clemente Diaz Ruiz to the Fuengirola bus station on Calle Alfonso XIII. It continue west and takes the A-7 towards Marbella, stopping by Fuengirola castle. It continues west on the the A-7 coastal highway and stops at the Costa de Sol Hospital. The M-220 bus enters Marbella through the Arch and passes through the centre past the old town and the Alhameda along Avenida Ricardo Sorriano and at the Bronze Tower it turns up Avenida Canovas del Castillo to reach the Marbella Bus Station.
