Stand Up Paddleboarding (SUP)

'Stand up Paddleboarding', popularly called SUP, or surf a remo in Spanish, is an alternative to surfing which sees users stand on their board and propel themselves through the water using a paddle. The sport is usually performed in the calm sea or a lake as larger waves or strong winds make it challenging. It reached Tarifa in 2011 and became popular in other parts of Andalucía by 2015.

Bérchules

The town of Bérchules is made up of two smaller areas: Bérchules and Alcútar. The village largely consists of working orchards and is served by many different water sources.

Triathlon races in Andalucia

There are actually about 30 triathlon events every year in Andalucia, which are held between February and November, including during the hot summer months. Desafio Doñana is the flagship event organised by the sports agency of the regional government. Others take place in locations in western and central Andalucian coastal areas.

Vejer de la Frontera Beaches

Just nine kilometres from Vejer de la Frontera the Playa del Palmar beach stretches out across the Cádiz coast inviting visits from locals and tourists alike. Nearby Capes of Trafalgar and Roches protect the coast.

Huétor Vega is a village in Granada province found between the valley of the river Monachil and Granada.

Skatepark Málaga

Skatepark Málaga "Rubén Alcántara" is a specially designed sports centre for skateboards, scooters, BMX bikes and rollerskates situated on Camino Cuarto S/N in the North Park area, just a short drive from the heart of the city.

Ermita Virgen de la Estrella

This chapel has undergone several reconstructions over the years; it was originally built in the fourteenth century on the remains of the collapsed Castillo de la Estrella. Some parts of the original fortification have been preserved, such as the two blinded Muslim arches that formed the frontispiece, and the homage tower (now repurposed as a bell tower). The new chapel was built in 1892, and its construction was commemorated by placing some coins and an inscribed lead plate in a cavity in the façade. Located 5km from the town off the JA-7103.

Ubrique

Ubrique is a picturesque pueblo blanco (white town) in the Serrania de Ronda Mountains of Cadiz province. Spectacularly situated in front of the crag of the Cruz de Tajo, the town follows the valley of the Rio Ubrique. This beautiful and tranquil town has a long, interesting history which stretches back over many epochs and empires.

Marchal

This village was founded in the Middle Ages from a farmstead created by the Moorish era. There are also vestiges of millenary civilisations in Marchal, as can be seen in its archaeological sites.

Clinics in Marbella

There are a number of privately operated heath clinics in Marbella for patients to go without referal as an alternative to the state health service.  The state run facility is called the 'Ambulatorio' and  called Centro de Salud Leganitos in Plaza Leganitos north of the old town, there are smaller Consultorio La Campana Avenida Gustavo Adolfo Bécquer in the Nueva Andalucia area, Centro de Salud San Pedro in Avenida Gustavo Adolfo Bécquer, and to the east of the town centre Centro de Salud  Las Albarizas in Avenida Las Albarizas 1, and to the east Consultorio La Chapas in Calle Pinsapo.

Chica Limon

Chica Limón is a musical duo composed of sisters Maka Rey and Patricia Rubio, hailing from San Pablo de Buceite, a district of Jimena de la Frontera in Cádiz, Andalusia. They have gained recognition through their appearance on the Spanish edition of X Factor.

Los Barrios

Los Barrios is an interesting small town in the Campo de Gibraltar just inland from the N340 coast road between Algeciras and Sotogrande. The so-called 'Ruta del Toro' (Bull Route) begins here. The A381 leads from Los Barrios, which is now served by a new by-pass across the top to Jerez de la Frontera. Along this road there are many bull farms.
