Macael is famous for its marble quarries, from which 80% of all Spanish marble is extracted today. Substantial monuments such as the El Escorial Monastery, the Mezquita of Córdoba and the Alhambra in Granada have been constructed with this marble, but the material is also used for local projects, with marble statues lining the streets and squares of the town, which has around 5,400 inhabitants.
The Revello de Toro museums opened in late 2010 in the restored home of sculptor Pedro de Mena and houses the collection of 142 works by Malaga-born artist Felix Revello de Toro (born in 1926) of which 104 belong to the Museum's permanent collection.

El Jardín Del Retiro is a botanical-ornithological garden situated in Churriana, just outside Málaga city centre. The estate is almost 350 years old. It spans a huge 140,000 m2 and contains around 6,000 animals of 400 different species, including birds, reptiles, mammals and fish, in both freshwater and saltwater ponds. It has been called one of the most beautiful gardens in all of Spain.
A total of six lakes make up this 949ha reserve: Pilón, Taraje, Cigarrera, Peña, Galiana and Charroao, in order of size with Pilón being the largest. The Laguna del Taraje is the only lake with water in all year round. These six lakes are the only ones left of a much bigger series of lakes that used to occupy this area around the Seville/Cadiz provincial border, which have dried up due to increasing irrigation for agricultural activities.
Sabiote has a wonderful historical and artistic heritage, which makes this municipality in Jaén a destination of special interest for seekers of cultural tourism. It has about 3,800 inhabitants.

The Mexuar was the public reception hall of the Alhambra, where the Sultan and his visirs heard the requests of the populace, who climbed up from the Albaicin through the Gate of Arms
The station of Loja offers high speed AVE trains operated by RENFE. It is the only intermediate station on the line between Granada and Antequera Santa Ana. It opened on the 26th June 2019.

Hotel Palacio de Villapanes boasts a formidable entrance of pale-coloured stone, topped by a heraldic crest. Inside, a red marble floor and imposing black pillars lead to the patio; the 18th-century palace’s historic pedigree (it was built by the 1st Marques de Torre Blanca del Aljarafe; the Villapanes title was taken by a descendant) is further evident from another massive coat of arms on the grand staircase.
The Peñón de Zaframagón is an impressive 600m-high limestone outcrop or crag (peñón) with sheer cliffs located to the north of the Sierra de Lijar close to the Seville/Cadiz provincial border. There are many natural springs in the 448ha reserve. Apart from its geological importance, the reserve is home to one of Andalucía's most significant colonies of Griffon vultures.
Festival Interestelar Sevilla is a popular modern music festival that takes place each May at the Centro Andaluz de Arte Contemporáneo at the Isla Cartuja to the west of the centre of Seville.
Helity operates about four flights a day between the Algeciras heliport and the Ceuta heliport on the North African coast. They also operate flights from Málaga airport to Mellila, another Spanish enclave on the North African coast. Helity operates two Agusta Westland AW-139 helicopters, each with a capacity of 15 passengers. The company was founded in 2014 and has been operating these routes since then.
The AVE route runs on the Madrid to Córdoba section opened in April 1992, and the Córdoba to Málaga section opened on 24 December 2007. The older section has a maximum speed of 270 km/h and the newer section 300 km/h.
