Ermita de San Sebastián

The chapel houses a sculpture of the town’s patron saint, San Sebastián. It was built thanks to local donations. Construction of the eighteenth-century chapel was prompted by a plague that devastated the Lecrín Valley but spared Padul itself.

Estepona Mural - Quijote en el Guernica

Quijote en el Guernica (Quijote in Guernica) is by Curro Leyton and located at Colegio María Espinosa, in Calle Virgendela Cabeza. The 12m by 6m mural revises one of the most important works of modern art by including the resized figure of the character "Don Quixote" by Miguel de Cervantes. The artist commemorates the 80th anniversary of the Guernica painting by Pablo Picasso with Don Quiote. This unites in a single work two of the most important artistic symbols of Spain. It has dimensions of twelve six meters.

Malaga Airport Train Station

The RENFE Train Station at Málaga Airport is on-site to take passengers to and from the airport with trains leaving every 20 minutes for Málaga City or Fuengirola in the out of town direction.  The Fuengirola train stops at Torremolinos and Benalmádena as well..

Garfields Rock Cafe

This well-known bar is somewhat small, although it has a large terrace that is popular with locals and tourists at weekends. Famed for playing progressive rock music, this popular bar hosts karaoke nights and occasional live groups outside on the terrace. The bar serves an extensive range of lagers and ciders and they also have an impressive cocktail list.

Puente Romano

The age of the Roman bridge of Fondales is unknown. However, its design appears to date back to the Islamic period of the 12th or 13th century.

The Consumers' Office

Every municipality in Spain has a public office dedicated to informing you, the consumer, regarding your rights and responsibilities in the case you should have any doubts. The offices are known as "OMIC", which stands for "Oficina Municipal de Información al Consumidor". Ask at the town hall to find out where yours is located.

Iglesia de Santa María Magdalena

In the centre of Cazalilla is the town’s most significant building, the parish church, which stands out both for its volume and height as well as for the quality of its construction materials and its artistic beauty.

Sharks

There are only very occasional reports of a shark sighting off the Malaga coast. Juan Jesus Martin, a biologist from the Aula del Mar museum in Malaga confirmed that there are 20 species of shark in the Alboran Sea. This is the name for the part of the Mediterranean sea offshore Malaga. These sharks normally never come to the coast nor near humans.

POSADA DEL COJO

The Posada or Mesón del Cojo was a popular stopping point for travellers heading to Cádiar, including Aben Jaguar, the uncle of Aben Humeya and self-proclaimed King of Granada, also known as "the Kinglet"

Ermita de Jesús

The chapel has an eighteenth-century Baroque-style portal. At the foot of the hermitage, we can see a high choir, while the central altarpiece is from the nineteenth century, in Neoclassical style, and has the figure of Jesús Nazareno framed in its centre.

Istan - Lake Istan

Embalse de la Concepción

Lake Istan as it is commonly known was formed when the Presa de la Concepción (La Concepción Dam) and Embalse de la Concepción (La Concepción Reservoir) were constructed in 1972 to provide water for the growing population of Marbella and the Costa del Sol.

Gazpacho Blanco con Huevos - White Porra

Soak the bread in water to cover. Put the egg and garlic in blender or processor and whirl them. With the motor running, add the oil in a slow stream until the sauce is amalgamated. Squeeze the water out of the bread and add it to the processor with the lemon juice and salt. Then add slowly as much water as the container will hold.

Mecina Bombarón

Mecina Bombarón was fused in 1973 with Yegen, El Golco and La Cortijada de Montenegro to form the municipal district of Alpujarra de la Sierra.

Casarabonela

Casarabonela geographically belongs to the Hoya de Málaga valley and the fertile valley that leads down to the coast, although the upper reaches of the municipal district touch on the mountainous region of Ronda and it falls in the administrative district of Yunquera.
