Plaza Mayor, Shopping Centre Malaga
Plaza Major is a large open air shopping center near Malaga airport. It was opened in 2003 and has proved extremely popular. It has been externded and a second centre is located a short walk through the McArthur Glen designer outlet Malaga.
Large free open air car parking. Has own cercanias C2 train station on Malaga to airport and Fuengirola line. Bus Línea 10 – Málaga to Churriana, Línea M-136 – Cártama to Alhaurín de la Torre, Línea M-123 – Churriana to Torremolinos and Benalmádena)
Shops open 09.00 to 22.00 hrs Monday to Saturday, restaurants everyday until 01.00 hrs.
Sunday opening
The comercial centres in Andalucia are generally open from 10.00 to 22.00 hrs Monday to Saturday and are also open for the same or slightly reduced hours on sixteen Sundays and Bank holidays in 2022. These days are 2nd Janury, 9th January, 27th February, 14th April, 2nd May, 3rd July, 31st July, 15th August, 28th August, 1st November, 27th November, 4th December, 8th December, 11th December, 18th December and 26th December in 2022. Local town hall are permitted to make two changes to suite local holidays. Shops with a floor area of less than 300m2 can open any Sunday or Bank Holiday. This is two more than in 2021 and four more than in 2020).
