Information on Taxis Marbella

Taxis in Marbella are abundant but if you cannot find a parked car, be sure to hail a passing taxi and they will be happy to stop and pick you up.

Beware that throughout Spain, Saturday fares are the same as Holiday rates and may be costly. Also be warned that after 22:00 on weekdays fares are also increased. Unless you are travelling a set journey, Marbella taxis use meters and fares that vary according to time, distance and day, see the table below for more info. Although some taxis have credit/debit card machines, do not rely on this and have cash ready in case.

If you are taking a taxi to the airport it is usually better to book in advance or arrange to travel with an airport transfer company, to get the best prices.

Marbella Urban Fares:
Tariff 1 - Weekdays 06.00 until 22.00 hrs. Except bank holidays.
Tariff 2 - Weekdays 22.00 until 06.00 hrs. Saturdays, Sundays and bank holidays.
Tariff 5 - 24 & 31 December, from 22.00 until 06.00 hrs the following morning.

Andalucia Inter Urban Fares:
Tariff 7 - Weekdays from 06.00 until 22.00 hrs. Except bank holidays.
Tariff 8 - Weekdays from 22.00 until 06.00 hrs. Saturdays, Sundays and bank holidays.

Inter Urban Taxi Fares

TAXI FARES FROM ONE TOWN TO ANOTHER

Taxi fares from one town (actually municipal district) into another municipal district are regulated by the Regional Government not the local town hall. As published in BOJA Number 30 on 12th February 2024.  (PDF) for fares from 1st January 2024. They are revised annually by the 'índice de precios al consumo' (IPC) (Consumer price index)

Tarif Band 7.   Monday to Friday 06.00 to 22.00 hrs

Start of Service 3.51 €,
Rate per km 0.68 €   
Minimum fee 3,67 €
Waiting time; 16,82 € per hour (or 4.20 € per part of 15 mins).

Tarif Band 8. Monday to Friday 20.00 to 06.00 hrs, Saturday and Sunday and public holidays.

Start of Service 1.75 €,
Rate per km 0.80 €,
Minimum fee 4,40 €
Waiting time; 20,21 € per hour (or 5.06 € per part of 15 mins).
