Pizarro Station History

The station opened on September 16, 1863, with the inauguration of the Málaga-Álora section of the Córdoba-Málaga railway. The Córdoba to Málaga Railway Company, established in 1861 for this purpose, carried out the work. However, due to poor financial results, the company merged with Compañía de los Ferrocarriles Andaluces in 1877. In 1941, when the entire Spanish railway network was nationalized, the station came under the management of RENFE. Since December 31, 2004, Renfe Operadora has operated the train service on the line, while Adif has owned and managed the railway facilities, including tracks, signals, and stations.

Pizarra station is open from 06:14 hrs to 23:11 hrs
There are three track and two platforms. Trains in both directions (Malaga and Alora) stop at Platform 1.
