Centro de Interpretación de la Arquitectura Tradicional
The Interpretation Center of Traditional Architecture aims to spread the values of traditional architecture in the Sierra de Filabres, especially the slate roof designs seen in the municipalities of Castro de Filabres, Senés and Velefique. Visitors can take a tour of the main characteristics of this style of architecture, both the construction itself and its bioclimatic qualities, as well as the lifestyle of the people who inhabit it. The centre sits over a unique water deposit, with an open mine that can be seen at the entrance to the basement. The mine is a gallery carved out of the rock, on the slopes of the mountains, with a channel drawing the water outside. Located on Calle Barranco.
