Motril - hotels
Located just off the main coast road between Almeria and Malaga where the N325 turns inland for Granada, Motril is the largest town on the Costa Tropical with over 50,000 residents. Motril is not an exclusive area and can cater for all accommodation requirements from hotels and apartments to hostals with views to the mountains in Sierra Nevada or out to sea across the Mediterranean.
Like in much of Andalucia, in parts of Motril we are reminded of Andalucia’s Middle Eastern past as can be observed at the Arab ruins in the Rijana beach. The impressively situated Sanctuary of Ntra Sra de la Cabeza is also well worth a visit. The town is well known for its' busy commercial port where ferries sail to and from Morocco offering an exciting day to the African Continent. Los Moriscos Club de Golf is a beautiful golf course in Motril, situated right by the sea and boasting both sea and mountain views.
Motril has not experienced the huge investments in property development like that seen in some towns on the Costa del Sol, therefore do not expect to find an abundance of luxury new build hotels and apartments. Instead expect more modest developments set in a breathtaking location between sea and mountains. Take a look below at the hotels and other forms of accommodation available to you during your time in Motril.
Accommodation has been displayed according to its location, whether it's on the beach, in the town or in Torrenueva. Torrenueva is a coastal suburb of Motril situated further East from the main town and along the coast.
