Golf Dunas de Doñana

This modern golf course is located on the beach, combining the wonderful sights and sounds of the coast with the tranquillity afforded by the adjacent nature reserve. The course has wide multi-tees, Bermuda fairways, large greens and numerous large lakes to negotiate at several holes. The course is a varied combination of links and American styles, suitable for all abilities.

Patios Festival

Every Spring, the town of El Puerto de Santa Maria, blooms into bursts of colour. El Puerto de Santa Maria began its Fiesta de Los Patios around the year 2000. The "Association of Friends of the Patios of El Puerto de Santa Maria" (Asociación de los Amigos de los Patios Portuenses) sponsors a type of "open-house".

Festival Cascamorras

Cascamorras festival in Guadix and Baza has been declared a Fiesta de Interés Turístico Internacional (Festival of International Tourism Interest) due to its intriguing history. Although the festival is relatively little-known outside Granada province, by latest estimates up to 20,000 people take part, running through the streets and covering each other in black olive oil in Baza and coloured paste in Guadix.

Marina del Este, Punta de la Mona Marina

This exceptionally pretty yet little-known marina, one of the most attractive in the whole Mediterranean, is located in the small seaside town of La Herradura. The port is situated on the eastern side of a natural headland called Punta de la Mona, on the other side from the town. It is geographically outstanding, with a perfectly-protected situation, courtesy of natural features.

El Museo de Aceite

Walking through the streets of Vélez de Benaudalla, visitors should stop for a look around the Museo de Aceite (Museum of Oil), established to promote the culture of andaluz products: olive oil in particular.

Restaurants in Jaén

Jaen has a good selection of restaurants, the vast majority of which serve traditional Spanish and Mediterranean food. Fish and seafood are a popular choice in Jaen, trout being the star player, so expect to find prawn and shellfish dishes, as well as meat.

Bus from Chiclana to other towns stops at the large roundabout called Plaza de Andalucia in the centro of the town just north of the bridge over the Rio Iro on the old coast road which is now A-9034. There is not a bus station as such but there is a hardstanding for bus infront of Hotel Alboran.

Bus from El Puerto de Santa Maria to other towns stop on the main N-340 road just outside the train station. it is not a bus staton as such, just a bus stop.

Salobreña Beaches

Making your way to the shore from the town, you could pause for a while in the cool Parque de la Fuente to enjoy a moment in the shade, before taking to the beach for a sun session, or a walk around the Peñon, the massive rock jutting out to sea, a prison in the first and second centuries, eventually a Christian burial site.

Calahonda Beaches

Calahonda is the last beach on the Costa Tropical before it becomes Costa Almeria. This is a very popular beach with lifeguards, showers, chiringuitos and pedalos for hire.

Aguadulce is one of the most important touristic hubs of Almería province, located only 8km from Almería city. The town experiences a huge influx of tourists during the summer season and, as a result, has a number of hotels, hostals and self-catering options to accommodate this wave of people.

Serenade Bolonia

At the far end of the village there is a field that also operates as an unofficial car park which is looked after by security volunteers. Nearby, on the beach with its own parking area is the Serenade Bolonia beach bar.
