Convent Museum "Las Descalzas" de Antequera

The Museo Conventual de las Descalzas is a religious art museum located in the centre of Antequera. It is part of the San José Convent and is managed by cloistered nuns of the Discalced Carmelite order.

It was inaugurated on October 16, 1999 and contains a collection of artistic collections, mostly from the 18th century.

In addition to the pieces located in the convent church, the crypt of the Resurrection and the sacristy, the museum has five exhibition rooms that correspond to: the tribune room, the Nicola Fumo room, the Nativity room, the room de Santa Teresa and the gallery.

Hours were: Open Tuesday to Friday from 10:30 to 13:30 and 17:00 to 18:30, Saturdays from 10:00 to 12:00 and 17:00 to 18:30 and Sundays from 10:00 to 12:00.
