The Church of the Immaculate Conception, This pretty village church was build in between the mid 16th and early 17th Century on the ruins of an ancient Moorish castle, using one of the towers as the church bell tower. In the early 1990's some restoration work uncovered frescos dating from1632 depicting the Apostles.
For the more adventurous thrill seekers, there is parasailing - where you are strapped into a seat which is suspended from a large parachute and carried along which attached to a power boat. If flying along on your own is a bit too much of a challenge, you can fly with a friend and even up to groups of five.
On the evening of the 5th of January there is a procession (Cabalgata), when the Three Kings parade through the streets on colourful floats. Sweets are thrown to the many children lining the streets. The 6th of January is traditionally the day that children are given their Christmas presents in Spain and so this is a big day for them and the whole family.

The Folk Museum near the main square Plaza Virgen de la Peña has an art gallery for exhibitions by local artists as well as a permanent exhibitions of paintings, photography, ceramics and tools used in the Mijas countryside years ago.
Attracting holidaymakers from all over the world, the Costa del Sol has become one of Europe´s top holiday destinations, and offers visitors some shows, live entertainment and cabaret acts. Restábal is one of three villages that were merged in 1972 to form a municiap district called El Valle. The other two villages are Saleres and Melegís. Restábal as the larger and being located between the other two is 'capital' village and is where the town hall offices are located.

Zahara de los Atunes is one of the most charming, and fashionable, towns on the Cadiz Costa de la Luz. With a stunning beach, boasting crystal-clear waters and golden sand, Zahara's main advantage over some other beach resorts in the area, which consist largely of hotels (albeit low-rise) and restaurants lining a beachfront road, is its villagey feel.
Agua Amarga is a pretty fishing village and beach resort on the Almeria coast, in Cabo de Gata-Nijar natural park, with a population of just 400. Still undiscovered by large-scale tourism, this is one of Andalucia's hidden seaside treasures. While its name may translate as Bitter Water, this delightful, laid-back beach town has excellent Mediterranean cuisine, good independent boutiques and trendy bars.
San Pedro does not have a bus station, but a bus lay-by located near the town centre on the Boulevard over the A-7 underpass. Services are operated from here to Algeciras, Benahavis, Cadiz, Cordoba, Estepona, Granada, La Linea, Málaga, Marbella (town centre and bus station), Ronda and Seville.
In the north of Malaga province 19km from Antequera is the Laguna de Fuente de Piedra, a famous beautiful lagoon. The largest natural lake in the Iberian Peninsula at 2.5km wide and 6.5km long, it is a haven for birds with over 170 different species recorded here.
There is a small, 100m-wide cove hidden by cliffs and rocks each side. Thanks to a good chiringuito it's an ideal getaway in the summer. The beach is fairly crowded during the summer and especially at weekends; parking access is especially difficult.
