Sotogrande Polo

The famous grounds of Sotogrande have been dubbed the 'Wimbledon of Polo Pitches' - they are renowned as the best in Spain, if not Europe. This is partly due to their location; flanked by a tropical nursery and the Guadiaro River, with a stunning backdrop of brillant blue skies and distant mountains. Yet they are close to the main A-7 highway, so easily accessible.

Bedmar y Garcíez

Born from the union of two towns, Bedmar y Garcíez is built around a fifteenth-century rock castle. Listed as a historical monument, this building has classified the village as part of the Ruta de los Castillos. It has around 2,600 inhabitants.

Benalup Casas Viejas

Benalup-Casas Viejas, in the Province of Cádiz, is a traditionally agricultural town, whose economy and tourist industry is enjoying healthy growth. It has been described as a young town with a history and is right at the entrance to the Los Alcornocales Natural Park, with the Barbate river running alongside.

former Velez-Malaga Tranvia

As you drive into Velez Malaga you may noticed tram line that connects the town with its coastal sister town in Torre del Mar. No need to slow down and look both ways before crossing. Construction began in 2003 of the 6km and 12 stations the southern phase between the two towns opened on 11 October 2006 at a cost of 46 million € and closed in 4th June 2012.

History of Alfacar

The first records of Alfacar as a settlement date from the Zirid period (1010-1090). The name Alfacar comes from the Arabic term al-Fajjar, which means mud, clay or pottery. At that time, palaces, mosques, towers and a castle were built in the area of Aynadamar (today's Fuente Grande). Some buildings have survived, such as the Arco de Somera, the baths, the Acequia de Aynadamar and part of the old wall.

San Pablo de Buceite

This lovely Andalusian village is located in Cádiz province in the area known as the “Campo de Gibraltar”. It is in the northwestern part of the Jimena de Libar municipality and claims to have more hours of sunshine than any other town in the province of Cádiz: 2,600 hours per year. Combine this with the ideal mix of subtropical and Mediterranean seaboard climate and you have a perfect place to visit or live.

Malaga is by far the dominant airport. All the airports increased their passenger movements up to 2007. All except Malaga have seen reduced passenger movements since then.

Gójar is a village south of Granada city on the western slopes of the Sierra Nevada. It offers visitors natural spaces, which, together with the its buildings make it a destination for lovers of nature to explore the culture.

Estepa

Estepa is famous for two very different reasons. Chiefly it is renowned for the biscuits known as polvorones and mantecados which bakers make each Christmas and are traditionally eaten across this region of Andalucía. Its other claim to fame is a grisly mass suicide 2,200 years ago.

Los Naranjos Golf Club

Long terraced tees and large greens amidst fragrant orange trees are characteristic of the well-maintained golf course at Los Naranjos. Los Naranjos is run on the philosophy that "golf means more than just sport". The new Andalusian style clubhouse bears this out, emphasising a total golfing experience.

Taberno

Taberno is situated at the foot of the El Madroño mountain range, in the north east of the Almeria province. It has around 1,000 inhabitants, of whom three quarters live in the village itself; the rest reside in its six outlying hamlets, the largest being Santopétar.
