The castle of Comares is of Arab origin, it was built in turn on an old Roman fortress. The RENFE Train Station at Málaga Airport is on-site to take passengers to and from the airport with trains leaving every 20 minutes for Málaga City or Fuengirola in the out of town direction. The Fuengirola train stops at Torremolinos and Benalmádena as well..

Torremolinos train station is located just off Calle San Miguel underground the Plaza de la Nogalera. Every 20 minutes local trains (known as cercanías) run east to Málaga (taking approx. 45 mns), stopping en route at Fuengirola and Malaga airport (AGP). Additional trains run just to Fuengirola.
