Malaga Airport - Departures

M-240 bus Estepona to La Linea

Service runs west to Sabinillas, Guadiaro and La Linea (for Gibraltar). This bus leaves the bus station goes along Avenida de España to stop in Estepona town centre (opposite Town Hall) and near Marina before travelling west to La Linea.

Iglesia de San Juan Bautista

This church, which was built between the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries, stands on the site of an old mosque. It consists of three naves, each of which is separated by four arches.

Iglesia Parroquial de Santa Catalina

The church was built in 1954 on the old oratory of Santa Catalina. On its tall, narrow whitewashed façade is a simple lintel feature, which frames a door with a semicircular arch with a split pediment to house a cross. The structure is topped with a belfry. Located in Plaza Constitución.

Arroyo de la Miel - History

Solesio, an Italian impresario, purchased a small farm in 1784 to build six paper factories to supply the Royal Factory of Playing Cards in Macharaviaya, a small town in the Axarquia region of Malaga.

In Andalucia, the hotel star-rating system is overseen by the Consejeria de Turismo y Deporte of the Junta de Andalucia (regional government's Ministry of Tourism and Sport) and has remained largely unchanged since 1984.

Benaoján - Estacion

This lively community has been no stranger to through traffic. Initially the valley was the route of the Roman road and later the medieval track. It was the obvious route for the railway, which was opened soon after 1892.

Teatro y Ermita de San Agustín

The chapel of San Agustín is documented from the sixteenth century until its confiscation in the nineteenth century. It was restored in 1599 and 1693. The second altarpiece was built by the Lorca carpenter Melchor García in 1623, with three main paintings.

Wines of Malaga

Iglesia Parroquial de la Anunciación

The church was built in the sixteenth century. Francisco Lorenzo, the same bricklayer who built Abla’s Iglesia de Anunciación, was commissioned to construct the foundations.

N-340 - Follow the old N-340

Due to the N-IV (Madrid to Cadiz) taking precedence of the single road along the peninsular into Cadiz city, the Kilometre 0 of the N-340 is the rather less romantic than the Puerto del Sol in Madrid.  It is often cited as Tres Caminos industrial estate at Puerto Real near San Fernando. However this is incorrectly assumed when heading north and measuring form the last junction on the A-48 (for Cadiz) which is labelled as km 0,5 rather than the as the last
