Tómbola de Trafalgar Natural Monument

The Tómbola de Trafalgar is a site of geological interest, with a small island joined to the mainland by a sandy tombolo, or bank of sand. The island is called the Cabo de Trafalgar, and its name became a household word after the famous 1805 Battle of Trafalgar.

Seville Marathon 2026

Seville Marathon, the third largest in Spain, with 14,000 runners taking part. It is traditionally held on the third Sunday in February. The Seville Marathon is usually very fast due to the flat course and (often) good weather. Race record is 2 hrs 04min 43 sec. The XL Zurich Marathon de Sevilla will take place on 15th February 2026.

The Coral Magnum Mysteruim is the name of the Estepona town choir. The choir typically performs several traditional concert in Estepona each year, including a Christmas and summer concert, in the parish church of Nuestra Señora del Carmen and more recently in the Auditorum of the Mirador del Carmen. Its musical director is Miguel Ángel Garrido Sánchez professor at the Manuel Carras professional conservatory in Malaga.

Diego del Gastor

This gypsy guitarist was born at Nº 8 Calle Ronda in Arriate, Málaga, and at an early age moved with his family to Gastor, the place from where he took his artistic name. Diego Amaya Flores left Gastor when he was just ten years old, and went to live in Moron de la Frontera with his family, where his father, who was a wealthy horse and cattle dealer, had several businesses.
