Natural Monument Pino Centenario Parador de Mazagón
Located in the town of Mazagón, and close to the fossil dunes of Asperillo, is the Pino Centenario Parador de Mazagón.
The pino is a species of pine tree, that has been part of Doñana national park's reforestation process. It has become a popular interest, due to its branches, and twisted trunk, that extend horizontally, creating a creepy sense of nature. The tree itself is part of a species perfect for the Mediterranean climate, surviving dry soils, but also long periods of heat and rain.
