Quiet Hotels

Although the level of peace in a hotel depends upon a number of factors, this collection of “quiet hotels” includes properties which are found in fairly rural, isolated areas. These places offer visitors a different option from the livelier atmosphere associated with the coasts and larger cities – serene locations where tourists can disconnect from everyday life.

One-star Hotels

Below are a selection of hotels with a one-star rating according to the official star rating, these offer simple facilities to meet all of the basic requirements for a pleasant stay. Their main benefits usually lie in their low price and convenient location. Even one star hotels must conform to all general ‘hotel’ requirements and have a minimum bedroom size of 12m2. The reception must be attended until 8pm.

Airport Hotels

A selection of hotels near airports. Unlike in the UK, France and other countries in Europe and beyond, these hotels are not attached to the terminals, or even found on site, since the concept of airport hotels does not exist in Andalucía.

Country Escape Hotels

The following hotels are all based in rural settings and enjoy the natural beauty of the Andalucian countryside, with its stunning scenery of mountains, forests, and plains. As such, there is a large variety of country escapes to choose from, for example those located in hilltop towns, national parks, olive groves, country estates and lakeside.

Budget Hotels

A selection of hotels at lower than average prices, ideal for those who are conscious of saving money whilst also wanting to find a great location to stay for their holiday, work trip or otherwise.

Romantic Hotels

Romantic hotels offer environments which are tailored to couples, giving them the chance to be as private as possible as they spend time together in a beautiful location. These hotels tend to offer bedrooms with special touches like four-poster beds and whirlpool baths, and specialise in offering activities that couples can do together.

Family Hotels

A selection of hotels which are especially well-equipped for, and welcoming to, families. In general this means that various age groups and their needs are catered for, from babies, toddlers and children to teenagers. In terms of facilities, these family hotels will usually offer things such as cots.

Stand Up Paddleboarding (SUP)

It was first observed in the Pacific by Captain Cook in the Sandwich Islands in 1778. Thomas Edward Blake is credited as the pioneer in paddleboard construction in the early 1930s. The sport also experienced a renaissance in California in the 1980s.
