Sausages in tomato sauce recipe

Heat on high just enough olive oil to cover the bottom of a skillet. Add the tomato sauce and cumin and cook, covered, until the tomato sauce begins to change to a more orangey color.

Lemmon

Lemmon disco bar in Marbella port, located in the Puerto Deportivo (Marina). Lemmon is certainly not as up market as the bars in Puerto Banas and the Marbella Marina in general has seen better days and could do with a facelift. Campillos

This peaceful little town of less than 8000 inhabitants, equidistant between the Costa del Sol, Granada and Sevilla, has been an important cattle farming, leather production and mining centre since Roman times. Archaeological digs in the vicinity have uncovered Roman architecture and coins, as well as brass busts of Octavius, Claudius, Constantine and Trajan. Nowadays, however, it is mainly known as one of the key stops on the Algeciras-Bobadilla 'Mr Hendersons railway' line.

Ayuntamiento

The Town Hall was built in 1929 and refurbished in 1989. Its symmetrical façade is crowned with a central screed formed by two sections, topped with a belfry. Located in Plaza de la Constitución.

New Flamenco - Tomatito

Much-loved stars of the nuevo flamenco underground, formed in the mid-1970s in Málaga when bands like this had to go underground, Tabletom might best be described as Spain’s answer to Frank Zappa and the Mothers of Invention. Mixing flamenco with jazz, blues and rock, with a philosophy borrowed from anarchism and the left, they are stalwarts of the Andaluz alternative scene. By their own admission, influences can vary from Miles Davis to English progressive rock bands such as Van der Graaf Generator.

La Carolina Museum

This excellent modern museum explains the history of the mining industry in the areas surrounding La Carolina and the other settlers' towns. It charts the history from ancient times to the mining boom of the 19th century, and will be enjoyed by anyone interested in mining and industry, especially British visitors, since, as in Rio Tinto (Huelva).

Cafés and bakeries in Seville

Going out for afternoon coffee has always been part of the culture here, and cakes have steadily improved in quality over recent years. In such a warm climate, ice-cream is also popular. Menus have expanded massively, taking in bagels, breakfast bowls, and smoothies. Brunch has also become popular - ideal for peckish late-rising visitors.

Muralla de Jairan

Built in the 11th century by Jairan (or Jayran), the first ruler of the Almeria taifa (1012-1028), the wall descends the valley on the north side of the Alcazaba and climbs the Cerro de San Cristobal on the far side. The walls have three square towers dating from the Islamic era, plus four circular ones from the Christian period.

Villanueva de la Reina

Villanueva de la Reina is a mountain municipality dominated by plains and a landscape of holm oaks and pine forests. The town was on the route of the Roman Vía Augusta. It has about 3040 inhabitants.

Alborán Golf course

Lying close to the Cabo de Gata nature reserve, this championship course designed by Ramón Espinosa is within easy reach of the city of Almería. There is a good balance of varying length and direction in the holes and the technique for each needs some considered advance strategy. More than 60 well positioned bunkers come into play throughout the course and it has a lake to the right of the 5th hole which runs for almost all its length – when doubling back for the 6th it is there again on the right.

San Fernando Beaches

The San Fernando beaches are Camposoto which is 9km long of fine, golden sand. It is well known for its excellent wind surfing conditions, thanks to the fairly strong winds on the Costa de la Luz. Playa del Castillo the beautiful 3 kilometre stretch of beach.

Noor restaurant Córdoba

Chef Paco Morales conjures up dishes in Noor in Cordoba from Andalucia's long multicultural history - cocina andalusi. He was awarded a Michelin star in 2016, followed by a second star in 2019. His passion is the region's forgotten gastronomic heritage, focusing on the Arab period in the 10th century when Cordoban caliphate was at the peak of its power.

The 'old town hall' was located in Plaza Blas Infante in the old town It now houses an archaelogical museum. The functioning town hall including the Mayor's office and many of the departments swere located in Edificio Puerto Sol opposite the bullring in the port near the light house from 2002 until summer 2023
