Cala Mijas festival
The Cala de Mijas Festival, sponsored by Mijas Town Hall and produced by Las Tour, was an emblematic over reaching music festival held at the purpose-built Sonora Mijas venue in Cortijo Colorado, inland from Cala de Mijas. The first edition, Cala Mijas Festival 2022, was headlined by Arctic Monkeys, The Chemical Brothers, Kraftwerk and Liam Gallagher. The second edition of the Cala Mijas Festival 2023 featured a star-studded line-up of classic Spanish artists and international indie bands, including Arcade Fire, Foals, The Strokes, Florence + the Machine and many more. The festival spanned three days of music and live entertainment. The festival was organised by Last Tour, a festival powerhouse. However, the Cala de Mijas Festival 2024 edition was cancelled due to a financial dispute between Last Tour and Mijas Town Hall. The festival continued as a sister festival (same dates and shared acts) to Kalorama Lisbon in the form of Kalorama Madrid in 2024 and 2025 but not 2026.
