Marbella Golf & Country Club

The Marbella Golf and Country Club

Once very private but now open to visitors, The Golf Club Marbella is a difficult but enjoyable challenge.

Designed by Robert Trent Jones it is a long golf course with opening holes crossed by ravines and gulleys which require accurate and brave tee shots. The 4th hole, a par-3, is just tee and green, while everything in between is bandit country. The 12th is a sheer pleasure with memorable sea views.

Waldorf Astoria Marbella Hotel
Scheduled to open in 2029, the Waldorf Astoria Marbella Hotel will be located at the Marbella Golf Country Club site in the Altos de los Monteros district of eastern Marbella. Higuerón Developments has acquired the one-square-kilometre golf estate and is transforming it into the Higuerón Marbella Golf Resort. In December 2025, it was announced that the hotel brand would be Waldorf Astoria. Guests at the Waldorf Astoria Marbella will be able to enjoy the brand's iconic Peacock Alley Lobby Bar, as well as a signature restaurant and a pool bar and grill. The hotel will offer 120 guest rooms and suites, as well as 120 branded residences. There will also be a 750-square-metre wellness spa with four treatment rooms, a gym, and both indoor and outdoor pools with large decks. The resort's championship golf course, originally designed by the legendary golf architect Robert Trent Jones Sr in 1994, will be transformed by Robert Trent Jones Jr.
