Trocadero Sotogrande
(was El Cucurucho Beach Club)
Located in Sotogrande the Troacdero Sotogrande Beach Club boasts beautiful green lawns typical of the area and sun loungers placed steps away from the beach. Buffet lunches are on offer and it is a favourite meeting place for the Sotogrande set while they enjoy many facilities.
For the 2015 Season the club was refurbished and renamed Trocadero. Since the old name Cucurucho was used for 30 years the beach club will be known by both for a while. The pale blue inverted cone (Spanish slang cucurucho) which is a landmark part of the building remains.
As the name suggests the club is in the African colonial style, with fabrics, decoration, hammacks.
Facilities include two swimming pools.
Activities are arranged for children in the summmer season including swimming lessons, water sports, beach games and workshops for face painting, pottery, balloon modeling, juggling etc.
Flamenco Festivals Trocadero Sotogrande
Some of the most celebrated names from the world of flamenco come together at the Flamenco Festival Trocadero in Sotogrande every summer. The festival presents series of concerts in the surroundings of the Trocadero Beach Club and Restaurant in July and August.
