The Modern Fisherman

The modern fisherman is a work by artist Juan Pineda. Although the work was planned in 2020 it was not painted until February 2022.

Malaga city artist, Juan Pineda, created Estepona's 62nd mural titled 'The Modern Fisherman' which combines painted graffiti with sculptural elements. 

The mural said by the artist to be an allegory of  Estepona: a town that has been able to conserve its traditions and essences, while also undergoing a transformation and modernisation.

The mural is 112 square metres and took three weeks to complete. Pineda spent two weeks shaping and painting the metal pieces and  took another week to applying them to the wall.

The Mural was sponsored by waste management company Urbansur.

The Modern Fisherman, is located in Calle San Juan Bosco.
