Ultra Sierra Nevada is an ultra marathon of 100 kilometres in distance, involving a continuous ascent along paths and tracks from the city of Granada up to the summit of Pico Veleta, followed by a descent to Pradollan, a ski resort in the Sierre Nevada mountain range.
.The main bus and coach station is located just to the west of the centre of town, next to the Train Station. There are also coaches from here to Costa del Sol and Andalucia.
El Palmar is located 5km north of Vejer and is the Surf capital of Andalucia. Unknown by non-Spanish visitors until recently, El Palmar is becoming more popular for its laid-back atmosphere and unspoiled landscape. The dunes and foliage are being carefully preserved with elegant solid wooden walkways leading to the beach. The sand is golden.
Conil is a small, lively beach town on the Costa de la Luz to the south of Cadiz city and near inland white village Vejer de la Frontera. It has a great atmosphere in the evening, with plenty of good tapas bars and excellent nightlife. It is a pretty, well-maintained town which is as ideal for a family stroll among the old streets, as for young people on a night out.
In addition to the abundance of resort-style hotels, Conil de la Frontera also has many different self-catering accommodation options, including apartments and villas. The apartments are dotted all over town, some with views of the coast and the Mediterranean, and others with city views. Most have easy access to the beach and either a private or communal swimming pool - perfect for summer fun.
The Cadiz province section of the Coasta del la Luz stretches from the mouth of the Guadalquivir River to historic Tarifa, the southernmost point in Europe where kite-surfers congregate from all over the world.

Caños de Meca is a small, unspoiled community on the windswept but stunning Costa de la Luz.
