Buses to and from Puerto Banus
There is not a bus station in Puerto Banus, however the centre is served by Marbella's local urbano buses. There is a bus stop on the far side of the A-7 (cross under the bridge) for stopping services L-79 to Estepona and San Pedro. There is a bus stop on the near side of the A-7 for stopping services L-79 to Marbella centre, La Cañada Shopping centre and Marbella Bus Station.
Marbella to Estepona Bus stop outside Puerto Banus
L-79 is a half hour frequency stopping bus from Estepona Marina (opposite bullring) to San Pedro, Puerto Banus, Marbella Centre, La Cañada shopping centre, Marbella Bus station taking 1 hr 15 minutes.
The L-79 travels via to San Pedro, Puerto Banus and Marbella centre to Marbella bus station.

There are no timetables with exact times of the time that bus stops at Puerto Banus, however, our experience shows that bus usually arrives there around 20 minutes after leaving Marbella bus station. This obviously depends on traffic, so make sure you leave plenty of time when travelling from Puerto Banus!
A single ticket from Puerto Banús to Estepona cost 2,96 euros and a single to San Pedro costs 1,18 euros (correct as of July 2013).

The bus stops are on the busy A-7 dual carriageway (Autovía del Mediterraneo). To catch buses in the direction of Estepona and San Pedro, you need to be on the side Nueva Andalucia side rather than the Puerto Banus. To reach this bus stop from Puerto Banus you need to go under the road (follow the road with signs pointing to 'Supersol'), come up the hill a little on the otherside and cross over at the first pedestrian crossing. Walk up the steps and you will see the bus stop about 50m in front of you. There are no timetables at the bus stop so make sure you check before you travel! See below for a map.
If you want to travel towards Marbella it is recommended that you catch one of the local buses as it is easier and cheaper, however, if you'd rather not, this bus stop can be found if you follow the 'Walk of Fame' up Avenida Julio Iglesias and go straight on up the path ahead to the busy road.
Urban and local bus in Puerto Banus, Marbella
Local buses also operate on seven routes in Marbella plus a night bus. It costs €1,18 for a single journey and tickets are purchased from the driver on board the bus. Travelcards are also available priced at €1,20 and are sold already charged with €5 (€6,20 total). These cards can then be topped up with 5 to 500 euros in Marbella Bus Station, in the ticket office at San Pedro Alcántara or on all Servicio Urbano de Transporte buses.
A monthly card is also available priced at €36 per month for unlimited travel on Servicio de Transporte Urbano de Marbella buses. It is personalised with your name and a photograph and can be recharged in Marbella Bus Station or at San Pedro Alcántara ticket office.
A Transporte Gratuito card is available for all Marbella residents. Available at municipal district offices but not Town Hall in Plaza de los Naranjos.
