Casares is a beautiful Andalucian white village situated a short drive inland from from Estepona, on the Costa del Sol. The is a wide range of property for sale in Casares. Most availability is for Apartments on or near the coast. to rustic villas inland near the village.
There are essentially three types of property available in Casares. Apartments on or near the Coast, Large country luxury Villas located in the hills around Casares and a few village houses most likely in need of reformation in Casares village itself.
Most people driving west along the Costa del Sol coast road after leaving Estepona and passing a petrol station called 'Buenas noches' will not realise but they are passing through the municipal district of Casares. It is not until crossing the River Manilva just before the fishing village of Sabinillas that you enter the municipal district of Manilva. This district is often called Casares Costa to diferentiate from Casares village itself is a few km inland it may seem academic.
Most of the property available in Casares Costa has been developed since the 2000's. Some of the property is beach side of the coast road such as Casares del Mar. Other property is located just inland around one of three golf courses; Doña Julia Golf Course, Casares Golf Course, Finca Cortesin championship golf course. Access to these is via the roundabout on the coast road for the MA-8300 road that leads up to the village.
There is also an interesting development called Alcazaba Lagoon which is located within the Casares municipal district but reached form Estepona Golf. This development was initiated in 2008 and is unique in that is has a private lagoon and beach for residents and their guests.
