The village of Dúrcal is situated in the valley of the Dúrcal River, on the western slopes of the Sierra Nevada, in the fertile Lecrín Valley. Throughout the Moorish period, the land in and around Dúrcal was used for growing sugar, as well as oranges and lemons, and these orchards still remain to this day. The largest cable car railway in Europe was once located here, but it was dismantled at the end of the 1950s. The Puente de Lata iron bridge remains. It was built by a disciple of Gustave Eiffel. The town has a population of around 7,000.

One of the most unexpected thrills of Vejer for a first time visitor is the huge number of eateries hidden away in the beautiful Pueblo Blanco. Then a further surprise is that it is almost impossible to eat badly in this gastronomic paradise. Vejer doesn't rely just on summer tourists - there are the regular visitors. If the food isn't good, the restaurant will close.
In the Sierra Norte Natural Park is this 18km-long vía verde (greenway) that follows the Huéznar river and the course of an old mining railway. The trains carried iron (hierro) from the mine at Cerro del Hierro to the station of Cazalla-Constantina, located 6km from Cazalla and 8km from Constantina, which was on the mainline.

Cordoba city makes up part of Andalucia's Golden Triangle due to its' world heritage status and stunning Moorish architecture, beautifully demonstrated through the spectacular Islamic Mezquita (mosque) of Cordoba. Most accommodation is conveniently located in the city centre with quick and easy access on foot to the Mezquita, Alcazar or one of the many great museums.
Alamedilla is a village in Granada province, whose name means "little elm avenue". It is made up of five areas: Alamedilla, La Hacha, Los Oqueales, El Peñón y Rambla de los Lobos. Situated in the region of Hoya de Guadix y Marquesado, Alamedilla has its origins in the Moorish-era hamlets which were bestowed upon noblemen from the north of Spain after the Christian Reconquest.
Benalmádena Costa is one of the most cosmopolitan areas on the coast and famed for an abundance of British bars and restaurants. The heart of the resort is the extensively equipped Puerto Marina and here one will find dozens of restaurants and bars serving food from all corners of the world.
The communal washing area was destroyed during the French invasion in 1808. At that time, it was made up of two vats with a double row of troughs fortified with a wooden structure; the wooden form was destroyed, although the rows were preserved. It has since been restored. Las Pilas is a rare example of public civil architecture, and forms a rest area on the Veragua pathway, towards Olvera and Llana de la Estrella. The water flows from what is commonly known as the Fuente de las Pilas, a fountain made up of three or four outlets leading to the sinks. Located a few meters out of the town on Calle Lorite.
Apart from its protected nature reserves, Cadiz has a vast inland area in the east of the province that is made up of the Sierra de Grazalema Natural Park and the Alcornocales Natural Park. A Unesco biosphere reserve, the dramatically rugged limestone massif of the Sierra de Grazalema is one of Andalucia´s most visited natural parks and popular with those interested in hiking, mountaineering, potholing and rock climbing.

You may have noticed tram line in Jaen city, don't stand around waiting for a tram as you may have a long wait. The Tranvia de Jaen was a modern light railway constructed between 2009 and 2011 at a cost of 75m €. Five low-floor Alstom Citadis trams, model 302, were purchased.
The oldest evidence of human presence locally is the cave paintings of the Navalcán enclave, dated to the Copper Age. Between the end of the War of Granada in 1492 and the early sixteenth century, the lands surrounding today’s Noalejo were “entredichos”, or intermediate territorial bands not belonging to any specific municipality.
San Roque sits at 109 meters above sea level on a hill looking down across the Bay of Algeciras towards North Africa. With a population of approximately 23,000, San Roque lies between the Cadiz municipalities of La Linea de la Concepción and Los Barrios.
