Líjar

Líjar is stepped in history, from its old town, which is completely untouched by modern architecture, to the ancient petroglyphs that have been discovered in the area, including the Stone of Herradura. The town is made up of many small urbanizations, such as the residential area of Huertecita Alta, which collectively house around 390 inhabitants.

Almedinilla

One of the most unique elements of Almedinilla is the way locals keep the flies and heat out of their homes. Traditional houses across Andalusia usually have plain metal or cloth curtains hung over the doors, however, in this town, you will see colourful curtains featuring interesting handmade decorations and hunting scenes.

Baviera Golf

This course is situated in the foothills of the Sierra de la Almijara and has lovely views of the surrounding mountains. The first nine holes are mainly flat with large bermuda fairways and large sloping and curved greens. Lakes affect a large part of the course.

Canjáyar

Canjáyar is found at the foot of Sierra Nevada, overlooking the Sierra de Gádor. Surrounded by orchards, which are served by a system of hundred-year-old aqueducts, it is a great place to enjoy rural tourism. It has about 1,200 inhabitants. The exact origins of Canjáyar are unknown, however, some remains dating to the Copper Age have been studied.
