Rockin’ Race Jamboree 2026 - Torremolinos - 4th to 8th February 2026
This festival which celebrates its 32nd edition in 2026 features about 40 rockabilly, blues, surf, and boogie-woogie bands from Europe, and USA. Takes place 4-8th February 2026 in several venues in Torremolinos including the Principe de Asturias auditorium, the Hotel Barracuda and Plaza del Remo.
The most important rockabilly gathering in Spain, The Rockin Race Jamboree in Torremolinos attracts fans from all over Europe, the USA and Latin America. The American roots music festival celebrates its 32nd edition in 2026, and it has certainly become one of the most popular annual cultural events in Torremolinos. Nominated for ‘best music festival’ at the Ameripolitan Music Awards in Memphis (2018), the four-day event, held on the first weekend in February, presents around 30 celebrated bands, solo performers and DJs from all over the world. This colourful festival will transport music lovers on a journey that mixes the elegance of the rock and roll of the 1950s with rockabilly, beat music, swing and boogie-woogie. Drapes, brothel creepers, poodle skirts and beehives take over the town and the ambience is one of good old fashioned rock'n'roll. The concerts are held in various locations in Torremolinos, including the Municipal Auditorium and the Hotel Barracuda. Visitors also have the opportunity to brush up on their jive and jitterbug skills during organised rock 'n' roll dance classes given by The Jitterbugs Company.
One of the highlights of the festival, which kicks off on the Thursday and continues until Sunday afternoon, takes place on the seafront in Playamar on the Saturday, when revellers can enjoy an afternoon of live music, and ‘The Dash’ vintage car parade. The 200-metre dash showcases around 20 classic American cars, which includes Buicks, Cobras, Cadillacs and station wagons, all of which must predate 1965.
The festival offers a series of free concerts in some of the bars in La Carihuela and Montemar, as well as in the grounds of the Hotel Barracuda. The main concerts take place in the Principe de Asturias municipal auditorium on Saturday night. The festival finishes on Sunday, with an open-air concert staged in the Plaza del Remo (La Carihuela), followed by a poolside party with bands and DJs in the Hotel Barracuda.
