The Friends of the Málaga Museum is an active group that is always open to new members - or visits from plane spotters around the world. Currently there are around 150 members in the association; around 30 meet on a weekly basis with the rest participating sporadically or simply supporting the museum through essential donations.
The Friends of the Málaga Museum meet every week on Tuesday at around 11.00 in the morning at the museum. The museum has reserved a special area for the club to meet and exchange ideas, enjoy the flight simulator they developed, hold seminars, share plane spotting photos and exchange the latest news from the world of aeronautics. They have lunch together and then spend the afternoon - from 16.00-20.00 working on individual or group projects and participating in organized activities.
If you'd like to meet with the Friends of the Museum, just ring 952 049 176 or send an e-mail to [email protected] Some members speak English.
It pays to become an official supporter of the Málaga Airport Museum because Friends of the Museum have special benefits. For example, every year there is an open day when the airport authorities organize a close up viewing of the runways so they can photograph planes. The event is free and catered. They also have a number of special events and invitations to special events related to the airport and aviation.
