Luxury Beachfront Rentals

One of Andalucía’s main attractions is its 800km of coastline, much of it beaches. Therefore one can find many luxury beachfront rentals along the coasts of the Costa del Sol, Costa de la Luz, Costa de Almería and Costa Tropical. Luxury beachfront rentals are likely to offer balconies or terraces with spectacular views over the beach and the sea. There will also be direct or easy access to the the beach.

Motorways

All of the provincial capital cities of Andalucia are now linked by two lane fast motorways. The toll motorways are from Seville to Jerez (free of charge since the 1st of January 2020) and from Malaga to Marbella, from Marbella to Estepona and from Estepona to Sotogrande. The A-P46 Motorway from Malaga to Villanueva de Cauche on the A45 towards Antequera is also toll.

Las Alpujarras

The region of mountain villages known as Las Alpujarras clings to the southern flanks of the Sierra Nevada, cloven by deep, sheltered valleys and gorges which run down towards the Mediterranean. 'The Alpujarra', as it is popularly known, in the singular, is famous throughout Spain because of its unique mini-ecology.

Huelva City Museum

Huelva's provincial museum, housed in a modern building on the Avenida Sundheim, has an interesting archaeological collection, with objects from the megalithic sites of La Zarcita at Santa Bárbara de las Casas and El Pozuelo at Zalamea la Real; Tartessian treasure from the necropolis at La Joya; and Phoenician and Greek artefacts discovered in excavations within the city. Moorish artefacts are also on display.

Chilches

Chilches is a small town about one kilometer form the coast located in the extreme west of the municipality of Vélez-Málaga, in the Eastern Costa del Sol. it has a population of about 4.000 inhabitants.

Gibralfaro Interpretation Centre

You will find it near the entrance, housed in a building which has seen many varied uses over the centuries. This building was once the castle’s gunpowder store; before that, it was the church of San Luis, which was destroyed by French troops in the war of Independence, rebuilt and then abandoned until 1925 because of the exclusive military use of the castle – it was occupied continuously by soldiers for nearly 500 years. The church, in turn, was built on the site of the castle mosque.

José Losada

One of today's most famous residents of Torremolinos is José Losada, the celebrated flamenco dancer artistically known as El Carrete de Málaga. Dubbed the 'Gypsy Fred Astaire', José has performed on stages all over the world with just about every top name in the business.

Malaga City - Fascinating Fact 1

Since 2002 Malaga´s major draw has been its Picasso museum. This 66-million euro project is housed in the 16th-century Palacio de Buenavista. The permanent collection - including 155 works donated by the artist´s daughter-in-law, Christine Ruiz-Picasso, and her son Bernard - is divided into periods, illustrating every stage of Picasso´s extraordinary career.

Hotel Sacristia Santa Ana

Once notorious for its louche inhabitants, the Alameda is the heart of bohemian Seville. Utrera Natural Reserve

Utrera Natural Reserve contains three saltwater lakes. Laguna de Zarracatín is around ten times the size of the other two, Laguna Arjona and Laguna Alcaparrosa. The lakes and their protected environs cover 1,161ha. Like the Lebrija-Las Cabezas Natural Reserve, it provides an alternative habitat for birds in the nearby Guadalquivir delta. Birds from the Embalse Torre del Aguila, which is about 3km east, also use the reserve.

Torreblascopedro

Torreblascopedro’s Campillo del Río district produces more asparagus than any other area in the entire province of Jaén. The municipality also boasts a proud olive-growing tradition. It has about 2,400 inhabitants.
