San Roque Beaches

San Roque offers the choice from dramatic, wide open expansive deserted beaches to the beauty, interest and facilities of a Mediterranean cove.

The coatline and beaches of San Roque Municipality are rather confusingly split and separated to the east and west by the municipality of La Linea de la Concepcion and Gibraltar. It is only a administrative separation which includes an uninterupted 8km walk along almost deserted expansive beach from Alcaidesa to La Linea.

San Roque's beaches are well maintained and well equipped:

San Roque beaches on the Mediterranean east of La Linea and Gibraltar. These are typically the most expansive and quietest beaches on the Campo de Gibraltar or western Costa del Sol:

  • Alcaidesa Beaches
    Hacienda (west of the resort)
    Alcaidesa (in front of the resort and Links Golf Course)
    Torrecarbonera (small cove by the lighthouse headland)
    Guadalquiton (easter seaction named after small river.
  • Sotogrande Beaches 
    Guadalquiton (eastern section named after small river.
    Sotogrande (expansive beach west of Sotogrande)
  • Torreguadiaro Beach - popular beach east of Sotogrande marina often awarded the blue flag for high standards of facilities and cleanliness.
  • Cala Sardina Beach (also known as Cabrero Beach or Chullera Beach) - also often awarded the blue flag.
