Dos Lunas Polo Club
Club de Polo Dos Lunas, located in San Martín del Tesorillo near Sotogrande, specializes in dressage and polo. Its activities are focussed on preparing horses for top-level competition. The club has its own polo fields with 34 boxes available for two teams during the summer polo season, or for practice time in winter season.
Polo Dos Lunas has two polo fields, one of 287 x 115 metres and another of 265 x 135 metres, maintained by Alejandro Battra and Luis Almerich respectively.
Surrounding the polo fields are two twining grounds, the biggest all-weather training tracks in Europe using technology from German company Dammam (19 metres diameter). The club facilities include 54 individual half-shaded pens of 8×4 metres. The club also has two grass practice fields and an all-weather exercise ground measuring 90 x 50 metres, which meets the international show jumping regulations with exterior enclosure allowing the use of 3 x 3 (jumps set three strides apart).
