Ronda Nightlife

Torre de María Martín

Also known as “El Torreón”, this tower is in the vicinity of the Cortijada de la Torre María Martín. The archaeological site is topped by the elevated circular medieval tower, about 7 meters in diameter, which rests on another construction with a square plan.

Tapas Bars

Granada is one of the last towns in Spain where you still get a free tapa with every glass of wine or beer. We have our earliest record of this marvellous tradition from King Alfonso 10th "El Sabio" (whose wisdom extended also to music and poetry, as lovers of the cantigas de Santa Maria are well aware).

The tourist office is conveniently located on Calle Cuesta de Belén, 5 which is the road you are likely to walk up, having parked you car in the underground car park at Paseo Andalucia, on you way to the Plaza del Cabildo, following the 'Ruta Monumental'

Watchtowers in Torre del Mar

There are about 100 different watchtowers (Torre Vigia or Torre Atalaya or Torre Almenara) along the coast of Southern Spain. A water tank of considerable proportions consisting of a longitudinal nave made up of slabs and covered with a barrel vault of the same material, the vault being interrupted by the housing of a series of skylights that have a truncated pyramid appearance.

Malaga - White Gazpacho

Soak the bread in water until softened, squeeze it out and put in a blender or processor with the almonds and garlic. Blend to a smooth paste, adding a little water if necessary. With the motor running, add the oil in a slow stream, then the vinegar and salt. Beat in some of the water, then pour the mixture into a tureen, wooden bowl or pitcher and add the remaining water.
