Located in the La Rabida area of the city on the south bank of the Odiel river this facility comprises of a very large open air auditorium for 4.000. The centre was constructed for the V centenery aniversary of the discovery of America.

This conference centre has 8 rooms with a total floor space of 1.623 square metres and capacity for 800 people. The largest room has a floor space of 397 square metres and a capacity of 419 people.

The palace has a unique modern design, which blends in perfectly with the green escarpment that sits behind it. Construction took place between 1988 and 1991. Promotors were the Diputación de Huelva and architects were José Álvarez Checa and Tomás V. Curbelo Ranero. It is a reinforced concrete structure with columns simulating the structure of a Greek theatre.

Its location is pleasant, opposite the Muelle de las Carabelas, close to the José Celestino Botanical Garden, the International University of Andalusia and the La Rábida Monastery. It is one of the emblematic buildings in Huelva city.

The open-air auditorium hosts all kinds of events, it is spectacular for its bold classical architecture, elegantly finished. The auditorium has a capacity of 3,800 people. The venue also has a conference room for more than 415 people and six seminar rooms.
