SHOPPING

For flamenco gear, visit La Fábrica de Flamenco on Calle La Palma, while Simón Vidosa on Calle José Nogales has all the matching accessories, including pretty shawls and smart sombreros (hats).

El Carmen market is a lively feast for the eyes, particularly its huge "pescadería" section with much of its fresh shellfish and fish caught locally. You can also buy ham and pork products from the Sierra de Aracena to the north of Huelva.
On Friday there is a big market just south of the centre, near the Muelle de Riotinto, at the Recinto Colombino.
