Cadiz Museum - Fine Arts & Archaeology

The archaeology museum on the ground floor. Some excellent glassware and jewelry are highlights and there is a good collection of amphorae as you'd expect from an historic port.

Anantara by the sea Beach club

Anantara by the sea Beach club was called Club del Mar, however its name changes with the official name of the hotel (Villa Padierna) of which it is part. Great place to relax with a cocktail. It closes early at 18.00 (except in the summer) on the other hand it is open all year to support the hotel clients.

Golf News - The First Professional at Valderrama

He was 70 years old and could still burn rubber like there was no tomorrow. It was Sir Henry Cotton’s signature move when he was trying to impress friends and strangers alike in his day, as the first professional at Real Club Valderrama, venue of the Estrella Damm N.A. Andalucía Masters hosted by the Sergio García Foundation, which still was named ‘Las Aves’ at the time.

Retamar

Retamar is one of the coastal suburban towns of the city of Almería. With easy access to the airport and ample holiday apartments, it provides visitors from Spain and further afield with an ideal base from which to explore the Almerian cost. The town has around 7,000 inhabitants. The neighbourhood of Retamar has existed for just over 30 years.

Villaluenga del Rosario Festivals

Of all the towns on the Pueblos Blancos route in the Sierra de Cadiz, this one sits at the highest altitude. Situated within the natural park of the Sierra de Grazalema, its location offers such fascinating places as the La Yedra and La Rajada caves, where remains from the Neolithic period have been found.

Granada City Cinemas

The old cinemas of Andalucia have largely been replaced by large multi-screen air-conditioned complexes, showing mainly Spanish and dubbed US films (very few are subtitled in other languages). Exception is Cine Madregal which is a large old fashioned style cinema.

Art Galleries

Contemporary and graphic art are exhibited at regular exhibitions in the Sala Siglo XXI, part of the Museo Provincial de Huelva which also has remarkable displays of Tartessic, Roman and prehistoric archaeological remains as well as paintings from the 15th to 20th century.

Cave Hotels

Cave hotels are found in Guadix where many of the inhabitants live underground, in cave houses. In the winter they are covered with snow and keep their warmth, providing delightful places to stay, often with their own fireplaces inside. In the summer, they keep cool and can provide great relief from the sun.
