Further Education

There are plenty of opportunities for further education in Andalucia. Logically, most of them provide all tuition in Spanish. However, there are also numerous opportunities to study in English in this part of the world. And these opportunities are growing with the tourist industry and as more and more English speaking residents raise children in this area and demand such services.

Travel Insurance

If you live in southern Spain and plan to travel either nationally or internationally, you would be wise to acquire a travel insurance policy that is adapted to your needs. A good travel insurance ensures that no trip leaves you overwhelmed with bills for unexpected delays, losses, accidents and medical conditions.

Yacht Insurance

Boating and water-based activities are extremely popular in Andalucia, and RD 607/1999 makes it obligatory for any motorized vessel to carry third-party liability insurance. The minimum limit for third-party liability indicated in this legislation is € 336,567, however, it's prudent to buy a much higher limit, in particular if you have a higher-value vessel.

Life Insurance

As Benjamin Franklin famously said, "the only certainties in life are death and taxes", and it can make sense to plan for this eventuality so you-re not caught unprepared. The emotional impact of a death in the family can be hard to bear, but if also accompanied by negative financial implications, then the outcome can be devastating.

Home Insurance

Whilst not obligatory in Spain, most people choose to insure their home - it's usually the biggest investment they make in their lives. Also, in the event that your property has a mortgage, the bank will usually insist on the building being insured, and the bank's interest being noted in the policy. Be aware that banks cannot insist that you use their insurance provider, and in any case, it's far better to shop around.

Motor Insurance

Spanish law requires that all motor vehicles in Spain must have third party insurance in place, designed to compensate third parties injured or who suffer loss in a road traffic accident. The current limit is set at €70m for personal damages and €15m for material damage.

Health Insurance

Advances in medicine, longer life expectancy, overburdened state health services and the rapidly rising cost of healthcare, mean that more and more people are turning to private health insurance. Indeed if you are applying for residency in Spain and do not come from a EU country, then you will need to have private health insurance.

Golf Antequera

There is only one course in Antequera and that is the aptly named Antequera Golf course. The course at 650 metres above sea level is situated between the Torcal mountains and La Vega de Antequera plains.

Cadiz City Top 10

Cadiz is one of Andalucia’s most vibrant yet underrated cities. With a rich history going back millennia, and a charming almost-island old centre, originally fortified, the city is much less touristy than other regional capitals, with wonderful beaches and seafood.

Vias Verdes

Spain´s Vías Verdes (railway paths) are one of Andalucia´s lesser known rural attractions and a great way to discover the countryside off the sometimes well-beaten track. In the 1960s the Spanish government drastically reduced its regional railway routes and closed down many train lines. Since the early 1990s, the government has been transforming these former railway lines into over 100 routes nationwide

Hotel Petit Palace Plaza Málaga

The Petit Palace Plaza Hotel Malaga occupies a late 19th-century palace. Located in the heart of the city, just off Calle Larios, the building has been refurbished and updated for the 21st century. The impressive architecture is perfectly conserved while at the same time the hotel offers all the comfort and high-tech facilities you’d expect to find in a four-star establishment.

Lobo Park

In this wildlife park near Antequera, you can see four different species of wolves, including the native Iberian wolf, in a semi-natural habitat. You're taken on a guided walk through the beautiful landscape, while the guide explains these majestic wild beasts. The walk includes stops at observation platforms, where you can come into close contact with the wolves. Feeding time is fascinating, as always with animals; there are also night tours ("Howl Nights"), where you can hear the wolf packs howling along with their keeper.
