El Molino de Las Juntas

Since 2003, the mill has been declared a site of Andalusian Historical Heritage. Situated in the hydraulic complex of the Fuentes del Margen, and next to the Abrucena River, this hydraulic flour mill preserves only the aqueduct, which has a structure supported by seven semicircular arches.

Guadiaro village

Guadiaro is village in the municipal district of San Roque, a few kilometres inland from the western bank of the Guadiaro river. The village takes its name from the river and has a population of about 2,000. Once a more popular destination, nowadays Guadiaro is missed by most tourists driving along the coastal road. The village is connected to the coastal highway A-7 by the A-2103. This local road was the original coastal highway before the concrete bridge over the Guadiaro (current A-7) was constructed in 1969, shaving 15 minutes off the coastal route.

Estepona Gourmet Market

The Gourmet Market repoened on 20th March 2024 as a new 'gastronomic and social space' housing five different restaurants (with take away service) offering menus from 17€ to 25€. There are also six stalls (shops) selling select gourmet products.

Iglesia de San Miguel

This neoclassical church dates back to the eighteenth century. It has three large naves and beautiful red marble decorations inside.

Convento de María Inmaculada

An outstanding seventeenth century construction for the headquarters of a Community of Franciscans. It was the headquarters of the French in the War of Independence. After the monks were cloistered in 1835.

Alameda District of Seville city

Back in the 1990s, Seville's more louche inhabitants, along with certain controlled substances, populated the Alameda, which lies to the north of the centre. Now it's home to trendy bars, vegetarian restaurants, and those all-in-one bar-gallery-stores that were first hip in Soho, New York, about 40 years ago. You'll find sushi and Asian-fusion restaurants here, while yoga and pilates studios abound. It's also hugely popular with families, and the playgrounds are heaving in the afternoons and evenings, and late into the night in the steaming-hot summer.

Priego de Cordoba - History

The first references to Priego date to the Middle Paleolithic era (40,000-33,000 BC). Much later, the Roman Empire occupied the area between the third century BC and the fifth century AD. During the period of the Caliphate of Córdoba, the settlement was known as Medina Bahiga.

Motril

Motril is the largest town on the Costa tropical with 50,000 inhabitants. Is it a commercial town that benefits from the tropical fruit and flower producers in the area. The town of Motril is located just off the main coast road between Almeria and Malaga where the N325 turns inland for Granada.

Plaza del Potro

Just a few minutes away from the Mezquita, to the east along calle Luis de la Cerda/Lineros, is the Plaza del Potro (Square of the Colt), a long, rectangular square which slopes down towards the nearby Guadalquivir river to the south. It is named after the 16th-century fountain in the plaza (1577).
