Crocodile Park, Torremolinos
Imagine: a fearsome snappy beast close to your feet, but safely fenced off... Europe's only crocodile park has more than 200 of the creatures, from babies up to huge adults weighing in at almost 500kg.
The park counts over 300 crocs among its inhabitants, including the massive Gran Paco (known as Big Daddy in English), the biggest crocodile in Europe, measuring five metres and weighing over 600kg. Make sure to visit at feeding time. The park's "nursery" is always busy, thanks to the successful breeding programme (each female can lay 30-50 eggs a year). You can be photographed holding a baby croc.
There's also a mini-zoo especially for children with emus, tortoises, peacocks and ducks. There is also a museum where you can swot up on croc facts, a video presentation, restaurant and souvenir shop.
